Fun Exercise Ideas: Pole Dancing
Pole Dancing is a sexy, fun and physically demanding form of exercise. It involves dancing sensually with a vertical pole. From it’s origins in strip clubs, pole dancing is now widely accepted as an excellent way to get exercise.
Getting Started:
There are many pole dancing classes available with the specific purpose of exercise. They usually have a very supportive atmosphere and feature people of all sizes and ages. An example of these would be the Art of Exotic Dancing for Everyday Women, which offers classes across America and Great Brittan.
Finding a class on the internet for your own town is the best way to go. However, if you would prefer doing this in your home, there are a few options available for that as well. You would require a good quality pole, which costs between $250 - $400 and a DVD or a book to learn the basics. Check out our recommendations below:
- The Art of Exotic Dancing: Striptease Series - Pole Work (DVD)
- PoleCats I: Beginning Pole Dancing (DVD)
- The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Exotic and Pole Dancing Illustrated (Book + 60-minute instructional DVD)
